  1. 1. As I live and breathe! : The effects of hypolimnic oxygenation on benthic macroinvertebrate and zooplankton assemblages

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Rashid Kadhim; [2022]
    Nyckelord :lake hypoxia; benthic macroinvertebrates; chironomids; zooplankton;

    Sammanfattning : Exacerbated deep-water hypoxia, brought about by anthropogenic-derived dissolved organic carbon (DOC) input, has potentially detrimental impacts on organisms residing in freshwater ecosystems. Oxygenation of the water column is a potential management strategy to mitigate this impact, and used to alleviate DOC induced oxygen depletion. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Changes in the fish community in Lake Tåkern, Sweden - a comparison between 1978-1979 and 2019

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Biologi

    Författare :Manfred Skog; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Fish community; Shallow lakes; Test-fishing; Establishment of species; Crucian carp; Bream; Winter hypoxia;

    Sammanfattning : Climate changes alter species composition in both aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. For establishment of species in a fish community, dispersal barriers, habitat structure and interactions between species act as a filter. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pollen analytical and landscape reconstruction study at Lake Storsjön, southern Sweden, over the last 2000 years

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Christine Åkesson; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Baltic Sea; Småland; land-use changes; pollen analysis; REVEALS model; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Pollenanalys och landskapsrekonstruktionsmodellering (modellen REVEALS) användes för att undersöka landskapsutvecklingen i Botorpsströmmens dräneringsområde i södra Sverige över de senaste 2000 åren. Studien ingår i två större projekt, The archaeology and ecology of collapse: social and agricultural change following the Black Death och Managing Multiple Stressors in the Baltic Sea. LÄS MER
