    Sammanfattning : This essay aims to investigate the conditions of public art in a contemporary discourseanalysis based on medial sources and social networks, concerning the anonymous citizeninitiative “The Shorelinestone”, also known as the memorial monument of the indieband Broder Daniel. With Roland Barthes Semiotics and Chantal & Mouffe's Discoursetheory, I examine the articulations of different discourses in the field, forming an antagonism eventually illustrating the conditions of public art today.     Sammanfattning : With Russia becoming increasingly hostile towards the West with the culmination of the full-scale invasion into Ukraine in February of 2022, the rhetoric of Putin has been linked to the philosophy of a geopolitically aggressive right-wing sociologist called Alexander Dugin. With several previous statements pertaining to the delegitimization of the sovereignty of Europe Dugin has previously argued for the Finlandization of the continent as a way for Russia to reactivate its imperial past. The study involves a virtual fire scenario design and 33 participants who experience virtual fires of three different scales in the scenario using a head-mounted display as visual and auditory perception and adopting physical movement in real world as their way of locomotion.
