Sammanfattning: The following report contains a fire safety evaluation of the Nynäshamn hospital in Nynäshamn, Sweden. The report is a part of the course Fire Safety Evaluation, a course in the Fire Protection Engineering Program at Lund University, Faculty of Engineering, Lund, Sweden. The purpose with the report was to evaluate the personal safety in the building, specifically in regards to egress, in case of a fire. During the evaluation a large number of fire scenarios were analyzed and four fire scenarios were chosen and evaluated with fire simulations in FDS and egress simulations in Simulex. These fire scenarios were considered to be a fair representation of possible fire scenarios in the entire building. The analysis showed that a safe evacuation was not achievable, in parts of the building, before people were exposed to critical conditions. Mandatory and optional measures were proposed to ensure personal safety in the building in case of a fire.
