Sammanfattning: Internal relations play a decisive role in organizations wellbeing. A cornerstone in a relationship is trust, and building trust requires communication. This study aims to investigate what effect internal communication has in an organization where employees experience a lack of trust for their management, and how different expectations on leadership can affect trust. We aim to achive this by interviewing employees and managers, and through observations. The study showes that the organization's hierarchical communication structure affects trust in a negative way, that the leaders have different approaches to leadership and communication, and that the employees urge for a leadership resembling a communicative leadership. A conclusion we draw is that communicative leadership promotes interdependence, which is fundamental to relationships and trust, and employees are given more space as co-participants. Furthermore, three main factors for building trust within organizations as a leader are to show presence, clarity and decisiveness.
