Brandteknisk riskvärdering av Väla köpcentrum, Helsingborg

Sammanfattning: The main purpose of the report is to evaluate the personal safety at Väla Center in Helsingborg, in case of fire. Väla Center is one of Sweden's largest shopping mall, localized to one floor and consists of 180 different shops, restaurants and cafes. A risk analysis is made to select three different fire scenarios for further study. The design fires are evaluated with different computer programs. Times to critical conditions are calculated and simulated with FDS. The evacuations times are calculated with SIMULEX. If the resulting time differences are below zero, appropriate measures are suggested and validated with new simulations. The conclusion of this report is that the personal safety, in case of fire in Väla Center is satisfying, provided that the smoke ventilation is working properly.
