    Sammanfattning : Although Sweden collects and sorts a large share of plastic waste, a significant part of the separately collected plastic packaging waste is being incinerated and only 8 % of the plastic waste is being recycled into new products.     Sammanfattning : Globally, billions of tons of rubber and plastic waste are produced annually, and because these wastes degrade so slowly (about 450 years for plastic bottles and 80 years for tire rubbers), they are extremely difficult to dispose of.
