1. Forest growth under future climate change in the context of bioenergy – case studies of combined heat and power plants in Sweden
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : The pressure to achieve net-zero emissions has pushed for new technologies including carbon capture and storage (CCS) based on the combustion of biomass (BECCS). While bioenergy is a relatively mature industry in Sweden, the addition of CCS may increase the demand for local biomass. LÄS MER
2. Transverse Momentum Spectra in pp collisions (\sqrt{s}\) = 7 TeV and \(\sqrt{s}\) = 13 TeV in ALICE
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Partikel- och kärnfysikSammanfattning : In this project particle production as a function of transverse momentum (\(p_{\rm T}\)) in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy (\(\sqrt{s}\)) of 7 TeV and 13 TeV has been studied. The transverse momentum is interesting to study since it reflects momentum created in the collision (before the collision, all momentum is in the beam - going in a longitudinal direction) and therefore gives information on the collision dynamics. 3. Influence of structural complexity of the Rumperöd forest on evapotranspiration
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : The influence of Forest Structural Complexity (FSC) on evapotranspiration (ET) was investigated in a mixed forest of Southern Sweden where micrometeorological Eddy Covariance (EC) measurements were conducted for the years 2015 to 2022. For each year, the top 25% of Vapour Pressure Deficit (VPD) were selected to emphasize the response of ET to the driest atmospheric conditions. LÄS MER
4. Framingeffekter och bias i brottsbedömningar: en vinjettstudie om hur positiv och negativ framing påverkar bedömning av skuld
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologiSammanfattning : This study has the purpose to investigate how individuals’ perception of crime, victimhood and guilt is influenced by framing effects and cognitive bias. The paper set out to evaluate these effects through the theories of ideal victims, victim blaming and just world theory. LÄS MER
5. Estimating stellar limb darkening using exoplanet transits
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : The brightness of the stars is not uniform over the surface as it varies depending on the wavelength and the atmosphere that the light propagates. Limb darkening is an optical effect caused by a decrease in brightness of the star towards the edge. LÄS MER
