  1. 1. Water, Sanitation, and Adverse Pregnancy Outcomes in Mali: A Study of Early Neonatal Mortality and Low Birth Weight

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Ekonomisk-historiska institutionen

    Författare :Bettina-Sophie Heinz; [2023]

  3. 3. Cognitive bias and welfare of egg-laying chicks: Impacts of commercial hatchery procedures on cognition.

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Biologi

    Författare :Tiphaine Palazon; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Cognition; Cognitive bias; Depression; Early life stress; Emotion; Memory; Optimistic; Pessimistic; Prenatal stress; Welfare; White leghorn.;

    Sammanfattning : Egg-laying hens coming from commercial hatchery go through hatchery procedures considered as stressful and engaging prolonged stress response in adult chickens. The aim of our study was to evaluate the impact of commercial hatching procedure on the affective state of chicks, on their short- and long-term memory and on their need for social reinstatement. 4. 4. The effects of early-life stress on the human brain : A literature review with main focus on the hippocampus, corpus callosum, prefrontal cortex and amygdala

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Skövde/Institutionen för biovetenskap

    Författare :Inez Wojtasik; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Early-life stress; childhood maltreatment; brain development; hippocampus; limbic system; corpus callosum; cognitive deficits; prefrontal cortex; amygdala;

    Sammanfattning : Early-life stress, consisting of several stressors appears to be associated with several impacts on the brain. The impacts of stress seem to be more vulnerable to the developing brain as it undergoes important changes during childhood. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Early life stress and its association with epigenetics and immune system response

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Biologi

    Författare :El sharif Maj; [2017]
    Nyckelord :DNA methylation; Epigenetic; GBS; Interleukin-6; MeDIP; Stress; social isolation; sperms;

    Sammanfattning : Stress can induce prolonged deleterious effects on many characteristics in chickens (Gallus gallus). Particular interest has been paid to early life stress. Social isolation as an early life stressor results in increased plasma corticosterone levels. LÄS MER
