  1. 21. A comparison between random testing and adaptive random testing

    Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för data- och systemvetenskap

    Författare :Nicklas Johansson; Ola Aareskjold; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Adaptive random testing; Random testing; Defect detection efficiency; test case generation time;

    Sammanfattning : Software testing is essential for quality assurance, with automated techniques such as random testing and adaptive random testing being cost-effective solutions compared to others. Adaptive random testing seeks to enhance random testing, and there is a conception that adaptive random testing always should replace random testing. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Evaluation of a computational method for natural fiber-reinforced plastics

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållfasthetslära

    Författare :Anna Lim; [2023]
    Nyckelord :PPNF; Composite material; fiber orientation; natural fiber; coupled analysis; PPNF; Kompositmaterial; fiberorientering; naturfiber; kopplad analys;

    Sammanfattning : The importance of using natural fiber composites (NFCs) has been addressed as a substitution for synthetic fibers, such as glass and carbon fibers. This substitution contributes significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with the environmental responsibilities of engineering industries. LÄS MER

  3. 23. A Conjugate Residual Solver with Kernel Fusion for massive MIMO Detection

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Centrum för forskning om tillämpade intelligenta system (CAISR)

    Författare :Ioannis Broumas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :MIMO; massive MIMO; GPU; CUDA; Software Defined Radio; SDR; MMSE; ZF; zero-forcing; parallel detection; iterative methods; conjugate residual; parallel computing; kernel fusion;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis presents a comparison of a GPU implementation of the Conjugate Residual method as a sequence of generic library kernels against implementations ofthe method with custom kernels to expose the performance gains of a keyoptimization strategy, kernel fusion, for memory-bound operations which is to makeefficient reuse of the processed data. For massive MIMO the iterative solver is to be employed at the linear detection stageto overcome the computational bottleneck of the matrix inversion required in theequalization process, which is 𝒪(𝑛3) for direct solvers. 4. 24. Evaluation of five hardwood species from Zambia to produce fuel pellets for cooking purposes : Study with a single pellet press including pellet production, post production testing and X-ray examinations

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Avdelningen för energi-, miljö- och byggteknik

    Författare :Annika Silvennoinen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Pelletizing; Pellet Production; Wood Species; X-Ray examinations; Pelletisering; Pelletstillverkning; Träslag; Röntgenundersökningar;

    Sammanfattning : 81% of the population in sub-Saharan Africa relies on charcoal and firewood to cover their energy needs for cooking. In Africa charcoal is usually produced by burning tree in a traditional kilns and then the food is cooked with a carbon-fired stoves indoors. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Comparison of Recommendation Systems for Auto-scaling in the Cloud Environment

    Master-uppsats, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Sai Nikhil Boyapati; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Auto-Scaling; Auto-Scaling Recommendations; Cloud Environment; K-Nearest Neighbors; Machine Learning; Recommendation Systems; Random Forests; Support Vector Machines;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Cloud computing’s rapid growth has highlighted the need for efficientresource allocation. While cloud platforms offer scalability and cost-effectiveness for a variety of applications, managing resources to match dynamic workloads remains a challenge. LÄS MER
