  1. 1. An Optimal Foraging Perspective on Early Holocene Human Prey Choice on Gotland : Affluence or Starvation?

    Magister-uppsats, Institutionen för kultur, energi och miljö

    Författare :Ingegärd Enander Malmros; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Gotland; grey seal; Holocene; hunter-gatherer; Mesolithic; Optimal Foraging Theory; OFT; 8.2 ka BP cold event; Zen Road;

    Sammanfattning : The Optimal Foraging Theory, rooted in the processual archaeology, uses a measuring methodology where the foraging strategy that gives the highest payoff measured as the highest ratio of energy gain per time unit is analysed (Mac Arthur & Pianca 1966, Emlen 1966). The theory is a branch of evolutionary ecology why much attention is paid to the interdependence of humans and preys and environmental conditions caused by climatologically and geographical changes or by overexploitation or other changes caused by humans. 2. 2. Optimal Foraging Theory - OFT : Background, Problems and Possibilities

    Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för kultur, energi och miljö

    Författare :Ingegärd Enander Malmros; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Darwinism; diet-breadth; evolutionary ecology; Marginal Value Theorem; MVT; Optimal Foraging Theory; OFT; patch choice; prey choice; Gotland;

    Sammanfattning : Optimal Foraging Theory (OFT) has its origin in processualistic ideas in 1960s with traces back to the dawn of the archaeological science in the 19th century. The OFT model is based on the construction of an individual’s food item selection understood as an evolutionary construct that maximizes the net energy gained per unit feeding time. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Measuring what directly and indirectly matters: Challenges for nonprofits and for-profits in measuring performance based on organizational purpose

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Företagsekonomiska institutionen

    Författare :Marie Viktoria Ingegärd Petersson; Pontus Enander; [2011]
    Nyckelord :Management of enterprises; nonprofits; for-profits; management control system; performance measurement; organizational purpose; Företagsledning; management; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : PURPOSE: Our purpose for this study is to describe and analyze the problems and challenges linked to measuring performance in activities directly and indirectly related to organizational purpose. METHODOLOGY: To map the issues and challenges connected to measuring performance based on organizational purpose we have used 8 case studies divided in following categories; 2 sectors (for-profit and nonprofit) and 4 types of organizations in total (for-profit + 3 types of nonprofits).
