  1. 1. Influence of Bold Text on Decision-Making within Formal Argumentation

    Magister-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Leo Evijärvi; [2023]
    Nyckelord :formal argumentation; nudging; choice architecture; bold text;

    Sammanfattning : Formal argumentation aims to provide a structured framework for cognitively compatible automated reasoning in the context of artificial intelligence; however, due to its roots in mathematical logic, formal argumentation research is typically focused on formal, ‘object-level’ aspects. It has yet to be studied how environmental, ‘meta-level’ structures, can affect human intuitions regarding the formalized model. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Reinstatement or Raised Limit Values for Statutory Audit? : A Critical Discourse Analysis of the Debate Regarding the Statutory Audit in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Jönköping University/IHH, Företagsekonomi

    Författare :Julia Kjellén; Felix Witthuhn; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Statutory Audit; Reinstatement; Raised Limit Values; Stakeholder; Discourse; Sweden;

    Sammanfattning : Background/Problematization: The statutory audit was abolished for small limited companies in Sweden, in 2010, with the intention of easing the burden on enterprises with high audit expenses and enhancing Sweden's competitiveness. After the abolishment, the debate about statutory audit has rekindled once more, where various actors and scholars emphasize the meaningfulness of statutory audit for small firms in terms of fighting criminality and ensuring financial information quality for stakeholders, while others argue that the benefits of the audit do not justify the expenditures incurred. 3. 3. Cognitive bias and welfare of egg-laying chicks: Impacts of commercial hatchery procedures on cognition.

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Biologi

    Författare :Tiphaine Palazon; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Cognition; Cognitive bias; Depression; Early life stress; Emotion; Memory; Optimistic; Pessimistic; Prenatal stress; Welfare; White leghorn.;

    Sammanfattning : Egg-laying hens coming from commercial hatchery go through hatchery procedures considered as stressful and engaging prolonged stress response in adult chickens. The aim of our study was to evaluate the impact of commercial hatching procedure on the affective state of chicks, on their short- and long-term memory and on their need for social reinstatement. 4. 4. How scent impact memory and forgetting

    Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Psykologiska institutionen

    Författare :Andrea Aejmelaeus-Lindström; [2018]
    Nyckelord :scent; memory retrieval; directed forgetting; contextual memory cues;

    Sammanfattning : In this experiment it was investigated how scent affect the memory. Encoding information in the same context as retrieving it has been suggested to be beneficial for memory, earlier research has mostly explored how environmental contextual cues affects the memory. In this research the contextual cue was created by a presentation of a scent. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Learning across experiences: an ERP study of memory integration.

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Oscar Haven; [2018]
    Nyckelord :memory integration context reinstatement; episodic memory; EEG; inference; hippocampus; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigated how individuals combine information learned across temporally separate events in order to make novel inferences through memory integration, utilising EEG to provide a novel investigation with high temporal resolution. Participants completed an associative inference task (Zeithamova & Preston, 2010) modified for EEG across three experiments, during which they learned stimulus pairs that shared a common item (AB/CB) along with control stimulus pairs (XY) in two encoding windows before being tested for their memory of these premise associations and, crucially, their ability to infer relationships between stimuli whose previous associated pairs shared a stimulus, but had not been viewed together (AC inference).
