  1. 1. Physiology-Guided Machine Learning for Improved Reliability of Non-Invasive Assessment of Pulmonary Hypertension

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Avdelningen för medicinsk teknik

    Författare :Frida Hermansson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Pulmonary Hypertension; pulmonary hypertension; improving; physiological-guided; machine learning; neural networks; NN; artificial neural networks; non-invasive; PH; tricuspid regurgitation; peak tricuspid regurgitation velocity; tricuspid regurgitation velocity; right ventricular systolic pressure; VGG16; Unet; TR-CNN; CNN; pulmonell hypertension; förbättra; fysiologisk-guidning; neurala nätverk; trikuspidal regurgitation; maximal trikuspidal regurgitation; icke-invasivt;

    Sammanfattning : Diagnosing pulmonary hypertension (PH) with right heart catheterization (RHC) is associated with a risk for complications and high expenses, leading to late diagnoses [1]. Transthoracic echocardiography can be used to assess non-invasive indicators for PH such as right ventricular systolic pressure (RVSP), which can be estimated by combining the peak tricuspid regurgitation velocity (TRV) with the estimated right arterial pressure (RAP). 2. 2. Finding Junctions in Spline-based Road Generation

    Kandidat-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för teknik och samhälle (TS)

    Författare :Isak Nyström; Danny Darwiche; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Bezier; Bezier Subdivision; Convex Hull; De Casteljau; Intersection Detection; Jarvis March; Procedural Geometry; Separating Axis Theorem; Splines; Sutherland-Hodgman;

    Sammanfattning : Splines are a common mixed-initiative technique for road generation. A designer draws the shape of the curve but the mesh can be procedurally generated along the spline. This relationship improves the workflow of building roads in virtual environments and video games without taking away all of the control of the designer. LÄS MER

  3. 3. A regression spline based approach to enhance the prediction accuracy of bicycle counter data

    Magister-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap och medieteknik (DVMT)

    Författare :Omar Alkayali; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Bicycle counter; regression spline; trend curve; prediction; ensemble method;

    Sammanfattning : Regression analysis has been used in previous research to predict the number of bicycles registered by a bicycle counter. An important step to improve the prediction is to include a long-term trend curve estimate as part of the formulation of the regression target variable. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Zero Coupon Yield Curve Construction Methods in the European Markets

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Andreas Möller; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Zero coupon; Yield curve construction; Forward monotone convex spline; Cubic spline; Nelson Siegel; Nelson Siegel Svensson; Hedge; Interpolation; Parameterization; Evaluation; Principal component; Nollkupong; Yieldkurva; Forward monotone convex spline; Kubisk spline; Nelson Siegel; Nelson Siegel Svensson; Interpolering; Parameterisering; Utvärdering; Principalkomponent; Hedge;

    Sammanfattning : In this study, four frequently used yield curve construction methods are evaulated on a set of metrics with the aim of determining which method is the most suitable for estimating yield curves from European zero rates. The included curve construction methods are Nelson-Siegel, Nelson-Siegel-Svensson, cubic spline interpolation and forward monotone convex spline interpolation. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Creating two-dimensional rivers from spline curves

    Kandidat-uppsats, Malmö universitet/Fakulteten för teknik och samhälle (TS)

    Författare :Richard Ahl; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Spline curve; Water flow-rate; Game river simulation; River simulation; Game map creation;

    Sammanfattning : This study is concerned with digital two-dimensional rivers for games. Specifically the aim is to create a river shape from the basis of a spline curve and make it look like a river with a water flow-rate. LÄS MER
