  1. 1. Assessment of oyster mushroom production employing urban-based materials in Stockholm Stad

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Mio Fagerström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Industrial symbiosis; residual waste streams; Pleurotus ostreatus; Oyster mushroom cultivation; Circular economy; Industriell symbios; restavfallsströmmar; Pleurotus Ostreatus; Ostronskivlings odling; cirkulär ekonomi;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates the opportunities and challenges regarding urban oyster mushroomproduction (Pleurotus Ostreatus) employing urban-based materials in Stockholm Stad as agrowing medium. Additionally, the availability of the five most suitable substrates has beenfurther explored with the indicator’s availability in Stockholm Stad, and the Biologicalefficiency (BE%) for a suitable growing medium and the quantity of the substrates have beenmapped out. 2. 2. Cirkulär hydroponi : Från urbant avfall till odlingssubstrat

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Izabella Karlsson; Maya Spencer; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Hydroponics; urban agriculture; circular economy; industrial symbiosis; Hydroponi; urban odling; cirkulär ekonomi; industriell symbios;

    Sammanfattning : Dagens samhälle är fullt av utmaningar vad gäller hållbarhet. En av de viktigaste frågeställningarna är hur mänskligheten kan tänka om jordbruket för att anpassa sig till den förväntade ökningen i efterfrågan på mat, och samtidigt göra jordbruket mer miljövänligt. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Orchestrating Industry Transition: A case study of value chain collaboration strategies to enable urban mining in the Danish building industry

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Internationella miljöinstitutet

    Författare :Mathias Peitersen; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Urban Mining UM ; Circular Construction; Circular Business Model Innovation CBMI ; Value Chain Collaboration; Supply Chain Partnerships; Transition Management Theory.; Business and Economics;

    Sammanfattning : Production of building materials is connected to a great deal of environmental degradation, and demand for materials is expected to increase. Currently, the construction industry is responsible for 23 % of the global GHG emissions, 40 % of the raw materials consumed globally, and 32 % of the waste generated in Europe. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Midstream Collective / Collective Midstream

    Master-uppsats, Konstfack/Industridesign

    Författare :Julian Gasson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :water; hydrofeminism; anthropocene; road snow sludge; fungi; mycofiltration; mycology;

    Sammanfattning : How do we hold each other through a change of phase? This is the seminal question asked in this thesis as it explores networked systems populated by urban metabolisms and waste streams. Using an embodied feminist framework, this paper attempts to highlight short comings in the current treatment of road snow sludge in the metropolitain areas of Stockholm, Sweden and proposes the use of a systemic, intergrated mycological strategy to filter and detoxify snow-melt-water before it re-enters natural bodies of water.
