  1. 1. Vedlevande skalbaggar 10–20 år efter brand i tallskog : en jämförelse mellan hällmark och produktiv mark

    Kandidat-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Wildlife, Fish and Environmental Studies

    Författare :KajsaLisa Olsson; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Tallimpediment; biologisk mångfald; vedlevande skalbaggar; naturvårdsbränning; Pinus sylvestris;

    Sammanfattning : The Swedish boreal forests have changed drastically in the last century. Intensive forestry with clear-cuttings and fire-prevention, cause a lack in dead wood diversity and volume. The current research on forests mainly focuses on productive forests and there is a knowledge gap regarding the importance of low-productive forest for biodiversity. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Where there is road, there is fire (influence): An exploratory study on the influence of roads in the spatial patterns of Swedish wildfires of 2018

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Gabriel Romeo Ferriols Pavico; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Wildfire; Fire Spatial Patterns; Road; Conformity; FWI; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This study focuses on the Swedish wildfire season of 2018, when the country incurred ten times more than the average burnt area that occurred in previous years. The study aims to address a broad research question: Do roads influence the size of the burned area? This study fills the gap in research on the effects of roads in the spatial patterns of wildfires. 3. 3. Molns inverkan på satellitdetektion av vegetationsbränder i Sverige

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Marcus Letalick; [2022]
    Nyckelord :clouds; satellite detection; VIIRS; active fires; forest fire; grass fire; FRP; NOAA-20; Suomi-NPP; JPSS; moln; satellitdetektion; VIIRS; skogsbrand; gräsbrand; vegetationsbrand; FRP; NOAA-20; Suomi-NPP; JPSS;

    Sammanfattning : Results are presented from the 2021 test run of active fire detection using the Visual Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument, that is currently onboard the polar satellites Suomi-NPP and NOAA-20. The test is performed by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency and the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute, in cooperation with local fire departments in Sweden. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Influence of forest mires on wildfire : a landscape analysis of the 2014 Västmanland forest fire

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Forest Ecology and Management

    Författare :Andreas Souropetsis; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Forest fire; Mires fuel composition; Aerial photo interpretation;

    Sammanfattning : Forest fire is a major natural disturbance that influence forest ecosystem structure and composition at both the stand and landscape level. In boreal Fennoscandia fire frequency has been very low over the last c.150 years due to effective fire suppression, although occasionally high-intensity fires escape initial attack and grow big. 5. 5. Microsatellite Constellation for Wildfire Monitoring

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Geoinformatik

    Författare :Citlali Bruce Rosete; [2022]
    Nyckelord :microsatellite; shortwave infrared sensor; active fire monitoring; burned area detection; satellite constellation; mikrosatellit; kortvågig infraröd sensor; aktiv brandövervakning; detektion av brandhärjat område; satellitkonstellation;

    Sammanfattning : I flera års tid har antalet svåra och okontrollerade skogsbränder ökat i antal. Det finns ett behov av att detektera skogsbränder med hjälp av satelliter som har högre tidsupplösning samt högre geometrisk upplösning än de satelliter som är i bruk idag. LÄS MER
