  2. 22. Don’t be unfair, Mr Bot! : An empirical study exploring the perception of fairness in non-work settings for human-agent interactions

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för informatik

    Författare :August Bäckström; William Ekenberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Fairness; Anthropomorphism; Experiment study; Social interaction; Agents; Intelligent agents; User enactment; Wizard of Oz.; Experience prototyping; Focus group;

    Sammanfattning : This study aimed to explore the implementation of fairness in intelligent agents to enhance their interactions in our social space. Two distinct investigations, an experiment, and a focus group, were conducted to examine the impact of unfair treatment by non-anthropomorphic and anthropomorphic agents, where we sought to answer the research question: How does experiencing unfair treatment from agents with different appearances influence individuals' perceptions, satisfaction, and trust? The experiment encompassed four experimental conditions combining fair and unfair behaviours with agents displaying human-like or non-human-like appearances. LÄS MER

  3. 23. A study on how a dashboard for energy data visualisations can be designed to be usable and inspire pro-environmental behaviour in an industry setting

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Sofie Drugge Eneroth; Alice Elkjaer; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Usability; learnability; subjective satisfaction; behavioural change; energy data visualisations; HCD; eco-feedback; personas; prototyping;

    Sammanfattning : An essential part of combating climate change is to reduce energy consumption. As the industrial sector was accountable for approximately a third of the total global carbon dioxide equivalents in 2019, it is crucial for industries to manage their energy usage. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Prototyping and user testing a new sound toy: Gamelike interactions with FM synthesis

    Kandidat-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för ekonomi, teknik, konst och samhälle

    Författare :Viktor Jers; [2023]
    Nyckelord :audio technology; sound toys; user experience; fm synthesis;

    Sammanfattning : Sound toys are game-like technologies that can be described as playful sonic interactions where the users are given unusual ways to creatively explore and transform synthetic sound. This study investigated the prototyping and evaluation of a new sound toy. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Improving Discoverability of New Functionality : Evaluating User Onboarding Elements and Embedded User Assistance for Highlighting New Features in a PACS

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Rebecca Eriksson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :User Onboarding; Embedded User Assistance; User Experience; User Interface; Design; New Functionality;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this study was to explore if users of a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) could benefit from User Onboarding elements and Embedded User Assistance (EUA) to discover and learn about new functionality within the system. Five sub-questions, related to perceived intrusiveness, intuitiveness, helpfulness and persuasion, as well as the need to guide users to nested functionality, were explored as well to help answer the research question.
