  1. 1. Flexible Sector Coupling (FSC) of Electrical and Thermal Sectors via Thermal Energy Storage (TES) : A Case Study on Oskarshamn Energi

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Raúl Calvo García; Jose María Marín Arcos; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Flexible sector coupling FSC ; district heating DH ; thermal energy storage TES ; heat pump HP ; capacity optimization; dispatch optimization; open-access tools; Flexibel sektorkoppling; fjärrvärme; termisk energilagring; värmepump; kapacitetsoptimering; leveransoptimering; verktyg med öppen tillgång;

    Sammanfattning : The integration of distributed energy sources and systems is of high relevance for the transition towards a more sustainable energy system. Taking into consideration the  amount of emissions produced by the heating sector, which account for at least half of the energy demand in buildings, district heating systems have the potential to play a key role in the transition, by enabling the integration of various energy sources and provide flexible energy services to the grid. 2. 2. Grid stability evaluation and techno-economic analysis of shared solar applications within a Swedish energy community.

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)

    Författare :Hugo Holsti Heijbel; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Energy communities; Renewable energy; Local sharing; Solar penetration; Grid stability analysis; Energigemenskaper; Förnybar energi; Lokal delning; Solpenetration; Nätstabilitetsanalys;

    Sammanfattning : The joint European electricity production in 2022 was 2.9 PWh where 34.3% of the electricity came from sources of natural gas and coal. However, to be able to achieve the goals of the Paris agreement, greenhouse gas emissions must peak before 2025 and thus call for a rapid decarbonatization. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Battery Storage as Grid Reinforcement for Peak Power Demands

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Energisystem

    Författare :Jesper Hilleberg; [2023]

    Sammanfattning : An increased amount of intermittent electricity production, more electric vehicles (EV), and an overall electrification of society may all cause a higher variability between the balance of supply and demand on the electric grid. Battery storage has been identified as a solution to the emerging problem asit can be charged during hours of low power demand and then discharged to help meet the power demand during peak loads. 4. 4. Utveckling av driftstöd för planering av fjärrkyla : En explorativ studie om utvecklingen av ett optimeringsbaserat driftplaneringsverktyg för fjärrkylanätet City i Linköping, Sverige

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Energisystem

    Författare :Christian Haapanen; Louise Hedenskog; [2023]
    Nyckelord :District cooling; MILP; UC problem; Optimization; Operational plan; Smart energy systems; Fjärrkyla; MILP; UC problem; Optimering; Driftplanering; Smarta energisystem;

    Sammanfattning : The average global temperature is rising due to climate change. This leads to an increase in cooling demand along with higher usage of electricity to operate cooling processes. One way to decrease the electricity usage is to introduce absorption cooling which uses heat instead of electricity as its main source of power. LÄS MER

  5. 5. TECHNO-ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE HYDROGEN SUPPLY CHAIN : A CASE STUDY OF THE SWEDISH INDUSTRY
