  1. 1. FROM SPACE TO THE SUBSURFACE. Examining Relations Between Vegetation Indices and Local Groundwater Storage.

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Gustav Antonsson; [2023-11-06]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This study aimed to examine the relationship between vegetation indices, NDVI and NDWI, and groundwater levels in the county of Kalmar, utilizing correlation and regression analysis. Further, by examining related geospatial features the study aimed to interpret the statistical outcomes to identify significant temporal and spatial patterns. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The TikTok effect: How TikTok is shaping the way we consume music

  3. 3. Use of Satellite Remote Sensing for Detecting Archaeological Features: An Example from Ancient Corinth, Greece

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Emmanouil Papadakis; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Geography; GIS; Satellite Remote Sensing; Vegetation Indices; Classification; Archaeology; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : During the last few decades, satellite remote sensing has proven to be an important non-invasive method for archaeological research in order to detect ancient sites and manage existing ones. Archaeologists have tried in the recent past to embed Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and image processing techniques in their research as non-destructive approaches, which can allow a wider perception of archaeological landscapes and predict past behaviors. 4. 4. Monitoring Urbanization in Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana, using Multi-Temporal Sentinel-2 MSI Imagery and In-Situ Interviews

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Geoinformatik

    Författare :William Ljungström Armah; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Remote Sensing; Urbanization; Urban Mapping; Land Cover; Secondary City; Low- and Middle-Income Countries; SDG 11; Supervised Classification; Minor Field Study;

    Sammanfattning : Rapid urbanization is taking place in Low-and middle-income countries (LMICs). Often there is not sufficient data monitoring the quick urban change. This study explores the use of machine learning classification within remote sensing to foster sustainable urban practices in a secondary city in an LMIC. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Evaluating DInSAR for measuring seasonal elevation dynamics at the Vissátvuopmi palsa mire complex in Northern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :André Farjami; [2022-09-09]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : During recent years the palsa mires of Fennoscandia have reported to be undergoing extensive lateral degradation, and in a warming environment the palsa mires of Sweden among others are threatened to thaw completely by the end of this century. Since subarctic peatlands account for 30% of the global soil organic carbon storage, small degradation changes in these areas globally, can potentially change the greenhouse gas emissions on a worldwide scale.
