  1. 1. Accentual change in the lexical form of Japanese i-adjectives : Comparison over time with attention to rentaikei and shuushikei

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Japanska

    Författare :Thea Johansson; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Japanese pitch accent; Adjective; Shuushikei; Rentaikei; Accentual change; Perceptual acceptability; Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates the seemingly increasing spread of accentedness within Japanese i-adjectives in lexical final form, shuushikei, and adnominal form, rentaikei, by conducting an online survey containing Likert scale questions. Once the data had been collected, the informants were separated into age groups and their results compared between each other. LÄS MER

  2. 2. L2 intonation by Swedish learners of Japanese:Analysis of pitch accent and prosodic phrasing errors

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Japanska; Lunds universitet/Masterprogram: Språk och språkvetenskap

    Författare :Natsumi Goto; [2020]
    Nyckelord :L2 Japanese intonation; Swedish learners of Japanese; L2 errors at the phrasal and sentence levels; pitch accent.; Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the L2 intonation of Swedish learners of Japanese with a focus on pitch accent and prosodic phrasing errors. Previous studies have attempted to predict L2 learners’ difficulties and errors, such as Contrastive Analysis Hypothesis (CAH) by Lado (1957) and Markedness Differential Hypothesis (MDH) by Eckman (1977; 1985). 3. 3. Naïve listeners’ perceptual learning of Chinese tones: The influence of L1 background in prosody and the effect of an auditory-image (AI) training paradigm

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Allmän språkvetenskap; Lunds universitet/Masterprogram: Språk och språkvetenskap

    Författare :Lili Wen; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Tone perception; Tone acquisition; Mandarin 声调感知; Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : The present perceptual learning study was conducted in an attempt to investigate to which extent naïve listeners’ L1 prosodic background affected their learning performance of a lexical tone language and whether an auditory-image (AI) training paradigm curtailed the online-learning process of lexical tones. Thirty-three Mandarin-naïve Swedish-native listeners (NS listeners) and 33 Mandarin-naïve English-native listeners (NE listeners) participated in a behaviour experiment designed to answer the question of whether native listeners of a pitch accent language (NS listeners) had an advantage over native listeners of a non-tonal non-pitch-accent language (NE listeners) in learning to perceive tones in Mandarin Chinese (MC). 4. 4. Speech-to-speech translation using deep learning

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Fredrik Bredmar; [2017-03-17]
    Nyckelord :Neural Networks; Deep Learning; LSTM; RNN; Speech-to-speech translation;

    Sammanfattning : Current state-of-the-art translation systems for speech-to-speech rely heavily on a text representation for the translation. By transcoding speech to text we lose important information about the characteristics of the voice such as the emotion, pitch and accent. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Videoåterkoppling i sångundervisningen : En undersökning om hur video som verktyg kan användas i sångundervisningen för att främja elevers kunskapsutveckling

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för utbildningsvetenskap (UV)

    Författare :Mack Johansson; [2016]
    Nyckelord :videofeedback; vocal teachings; videoåterkoppling; musikundervisning; sångundervisning;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this study was researching how video feedback could be a resourceful aid when helping teenagers reflect upon their own vocal learning in the singing education. My research involved students aged fifteen and it was performed at (eller in? kanske kolla upp?) a middle school somewhere in Sweden. LÄS MER
