  1. 1. Modeling of ozone and nitrogen oxides pollutions in urban air environments

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Henrik Reimer; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Ozone; Nitrogen oxides; NOx; Hydrocarbons; VOC; Urban environment; Model; Pollutions; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : As the air quality in urban environments is a rising problem, a deeper understanding of how air pollution is dependent on different factors is necessary. In these environments, there are different parameters that effect how the chemical reactions of the pollutants are proceeding. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Atmospheric reactivity of cyclic ethers of relevance to biofuel combustion

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Emelie Graham; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Ecosystem Science; Physical Geography; 2nd generation biofuels; furans; tropospheric chemistry; ozonolysis; atmospheric kinetics; computational chemistry; IR Spectroscopy; Atmospheric Science Biochemical Cycles; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Biofuels are considered to be an environmental friendly alternative to fossil fuels as they have the potential to reduce the global emissions of greenhouse gases. Studies have showed that an increased use of ethanol could alter the atmospheric chemical composition and enhance urban ozone concentrations resulting in higher human mortality rates. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Biogenic volatile organic compound emissions from Willow trees

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Md. Ahsan Mozaffar; [2013]
    Nyckelord :atmosphere; Salix; Willow; biogenic volatile organic compounds; Isoprene; climate; BVOC; geography; physical geography; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : In August 2012, emissions of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) from willow (Salix) trees were measured in Lund, southern Sweden. Sweden has more than 16000 ha of short rotation willow plantations for biofuel production and willow trees are suspected to emit substantial amounts of BVOC to the atmosphere. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Furan - A Future Fuel and its Lifetime in Urban Air

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Emelie Graham; [2013]
    Nyckelord :Atmospheric science Tropospheric chemistry Kinetics Rate constant Absolute rate method Biofuels Furan Ozone; Physics and Astronomy; Chemistry; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : With a rising global mean temperature caused by increased emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere biofuels are considered as a possible solution to the greenhouse effect. One of the potential biofuels is furans and this report aims to determine their lifetime in polluted air. LÄS MER
