Unga celisters utveckling - en kvalitativ intervjustudie av påverkande faktorer

Sammanfattning: The purpose of this study is to examine some cello teachers views about development, talent and giftedness in the light of recent research in the field. The first chapter is concerned with my own background as a cellist and where my big interest for the subject of this study came from. The study is based on qualitative interviews with three cellists but the theory of researchers into the relation between high achievement and practice is core to the discussion. In the final discussion the cellist’s thoughts are compared with the thoughts and claims of the researchers. This studys conclusion states that it is not easy to point out a single factor as the most important for development, but there are many different factors that have to interact for the best possible development.
