"Oj! Där kom jag i målbrottet!": En studie om sångares upplevelser och sångpedagogers vägledning genom målbrottet

Sammanfattning: This study aims to understand if and how singers experience voice change in a physical and emotional way and how much knowledge they have about their adolescent voice change. Further on the study also aims to understand how educated and experienced vocal teachers adapt and are working with adolescent voices and how their working methods can be used for other future vocal teachers. The background to this study lies in the experience that the adolescent voice change has not been mentioned enough in music education. This study was conducted through a survey directed to singers and qualitative interviews with vocal teachers. Overall, the result shows that singers’ experience of the adolescent voice change affects them more physically than emotionally, but the emotional symptoms some have experienced is accurate to the previous research that is stated. The result also shows that, according to vocal teachers, an individual approach is needed in order to work with the adolescent voice change. Vocal teachers also state that the awareness of the importance of communication and how to communicate is important. Together with experience, it is one of the biggest parts in their gained knowledge about the adolescent voice change.
