    Sammanfattning : Kullen has had a huge gap in knowledge about the Iron Age period. This thesis offers a new synthesis to close this gap in knowledge of the Iron Age period in the region.     Sammanfattning : The observed upper limit of the luminosity of red supergiants, often called the Humphreys-Davidson limit, has recently been shown to be independent of metallicity and to not be explainable by single star evolution – findings that both contradict established ideas of the origins of the limit. It is now known that the vast majority of stars with sufficient mass to possibly evolve into red supergiants above the limit interact with companion stars at some point during their lives. LÄS MER

    Sammanfattning : The push-pull design has been shown to increase DSC performance through the introduction of electron-withdrawing groups and electron-donating groups, usually on opposite far ends of the sensitizer. The scope of this thesis was to synthesize several pre-N-heterocyclic carbene ligand analogs that are inspired by the push-pull design in an attempt to investigate their susceptibility to Fe(II) complexation.     Sammanfattning : Normalizing flows represent a class of generative models that exhibit a number of attractive properties, but do not always achieve state-of-the-art performance when it comes to perceived naturalness of generated samples. To improve the quality of generated samples, this thesis examines methods to enhance the expressivity of discrete-time normalizing flow models and thus their ability to capture different aspects of the data.
