   Sammanfattning : This paper investigates the effects of population age structure and economic growth on the household saving rate in China and examines whether life cycle hypothesis (LCH) holds in the country like China, where LCH may be less applicable. By applying two popular time series econometric techniques (cointegration technique and vector error correction model), the author examines the long-run convergence between household saving rate, age structure of population and GDP growth in all China from 1963 to 2006.    Sammanfattning : Despite being small-size and compact country – with only 200 kilometers stretch from far East to West – the economy of Armenia faces significant spatial differentiation in income levels and is characterized by high concentrations of population, economic and business activities in the capital city with peripheral regions lagging behind economic activity and wages. By using the data on monthly average wages of the Marzes (provinces) this paper seeks to empirically test the hypothesis of income level (wages) divergence in the country using the method of Sigma convergence.
