  1. 1. OpenCourse: Gamification in Computer Science Education

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Gustaf Bodin; Elias Ekroth; Tobias Engblom; Filip Linde; Anwarr Shiervani; [2023-03-03]
    Nyckelord :Gamification; Education; Heuristic Evaluation; Desktop Application Development; Spelifiering; Utbildning; Heuristisk Utvärdering; Datorapplikationsutveckling;

    Sammanfattning : Academic degrees in computer science suffer from the highest dropout rates among universities. As a result, there is a lack of technical professionals, which could threaten the digital infrastructure. LÄS MER

  2. 2. DIFFERENTIAL OUTCOME TRAINING AND HUMANOID ROBOT FEEDBACK ON A VISUOSPATIAL GAMIFIED TASK: An experimental study investigating learning, affective social engagement cues and cognitive learning strategies

    Kandidat-uppsats, Institutionen för tillämpad informationsteknologi

    Författare :Alva Markelius; Sofia Sjöberg; [2023-02-01]
    Nyckelord :Human-robot interaction; gamified memory task; dementia; differential outcome theory; Furhat; engagement; digitalised treatments; robot assistance;

    Sammanfattning : By combining Differential Outcome Training (DOT), the usage of unique stimulus-response pairings, and feedback from a humanoid simulated robot (SDK) this study aims to improve learning performance of subjects on a visuospatial gamified memory task. This is achieved by using the SDK as an interface for an algorithm that provides audiovisual, reinforcing feedback promoting engangement in a new dyadic setup for a gamified task. LÄS MER

  3. 3. An Errors Analysis of Grammatical Errors in The Written Productions of Swedish Students in a Vocational High School

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / / Institutionen för sociologi och arbetsvetenskap

    Författare :Maryam Nezamabadi; [2023-02-01]
    Nyckelord :Error analysis; Verb errors; Common grammatical errors; English written productions; Grammar teaching; Second language learning; Errors based on word class categories;

    Sammanfattning : As an approach to spotting and analyzing students' errors, error analysis provides information that gives us a better understanding of students' knowledge of second language grammar, so we can offer them more effective teaching. This study is an error analysis that investigates the most common grammatical errors focusing on verbs, prepositions, articles, and pronouns in English writings produced by first-year high-school students at a vocational school in southern Sweden. 4. 4. Can artificial intelligence replace humans in programming?

    Kandidat-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för innovation, design och teknik

    Författare :Hampus Ekedahl; Vilma Helander; [2023]
    Nyckelord :AI; ChatGPT; NLP;

    Sammanfattning : The recent developments in artificial intelligence have brought forth natural language models like ChatGPT, which exhibits abilities in tasks such as language translation, text generation, and interacting conversations. Notably, ChatGPT's ability to generate code has sparked debates regarding the role of artificial intelligence in software engineering and its potential to replace human programmers. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Code Synthesis for Heterogeneous Platforms

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Zhouxiang Fu; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Code Synthesis; Heterogeneous Platform; Zero-Overhead Topology Infrastructure; Kodsyntes; Heterogen plattform; Zero-Overhead Topologi Infrastruktur;

    Sammanfattning : Heterogeneous platforms, systems with both general-purpose processors and task-specific hardware, are largely used in industry to increase efficiency, but the heterogeneity also increases the difficulty of design and verification. We often need to wait for the completion of all the modules to know whether the functionality of the design is correct or not, which can cause costly and tedious design iteration cycles. LÄS MER
