1. Wildfire growth modelling in Sweden - a suitability assessment of available data
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Wildfires are worldwide problems that stress societies by damaging their economies and they cause serious, sometimes fatal, health implications among the populations. In recent years, the rate of wildfire occurrence has increased as the global average temperature has risen. Because of global climate change, this rate is expected to continue rising. LÄS MER
2. A numerical comparison of the thermoacoustics for different equivalence ratios for n-dodecane using LES
3. Flame Extensions Under Ceilings
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : In this Master thesis project the factors affecting flame extension under flat and curved ceilings have been investigated. An experimental campaign was carried out in Lund University’s Fire Lab using a propane gas burner and heptane pool fire in different positions and heat release rates within the setups. LÄS MER
4. Empirical Verification of an Acoustic Estimation of a Rocket Engine : A Comparison Between Estimated and Measured Noise of a Rocket Engine
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för industriell teknik och management (ITM)Sammanfattning : The noise of a rocket engine is a complex and complicated phenomenon which has been studied for more than half a century [1]. There are many sources to this noise, but due to its great potential impact to the surrounding structures, including the vehicle itself, it is important to have a model to estimate the acoustic environment the engine produces. 5. Optical Analysis of the Hydrogen Cooling Film in High Pressure Combustion Chambers
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/RymdteknikSammanfattning : For performance optimisation of modern liquid cryogenic bipropellant rocket combustion chambers, one component which plays an important role in reducing the wall side heat flux, is the behaviour of the cooling film. At the Institute of Space Propulsion of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Lampoldshausen, hot test runs have been performed using the experimental combustion chamber BKM, to investigate the wall side heat flux which is -- among other factors -- dependent on cooling film properties.
