The following two questions were in focus: What effect does a robust vocabulary instruction, applied in regular classroom teaching, have on students' knowledge of the meanings of words, especially students with weak vocabulary? What effect does a robust vocabulary instruction, applied in regular classroom teaching, have on students' reading comprehension of factual texts in the subject social sciences especially students with weak vocabulary? An intervention was carried out in which 27 students in grade 4 and 5 took part. LÄS MER

Having looked at the case of a nature park in Kuala Selangor, Peninsular Malaysia carrying out mangrove rehabilitation and conservation, I also aimed to investigate the institutional interrelations and how these combined with environmental attitudes to influence the management of the park. Research questions: How strong is the level of agreement between sitting time measured subjectively with SED-GIH and objectively with ActivPal? My research was limited to 20 weeks of full-time writing and worth 30 ECTS. Through literature studies, interviews and site visits I could analyse my findings which resulted in a concrete garden design project. LÄS MER
