1. Usability of Sentinel-1 C-band VV and VH SAR data for the detection of flooded oil palm
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Flooding in oil palm plantations in Southeast Asia is a common problem. The oil palm’s habitable range is restricted to lowland equatorial areas, and the high rainfall and degraded landscapes associated with oil palm cultivation leaves oil palm prone to flooding. LÄS MER
2. Forest Aboveground Biomass Monitoring in Southern Sweden Using Random Forest Modelwith Sentinel-1, Sentinel-2, and LiDAR Data
Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/SamhällsbyggnadSammanfattning : Monitoring carbon stock has emerged as a critical environmental problem among several worldwide organizations and collaborations in the context of global warming and climate change. This study seeks to provide a remote sensing solution based on three types of data, to explore the feasibility and reliability of estimating aboveground biomass (AGB) in order to improve the efficiency of monitoring carbon stock. 3. Damage Assessment of the 2022 Tongatapu Tsunami : With Remote Sensing
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/GeoinformatikSammanfattning : The Island of Tongatapu, Tonga, was struck by a tsunami on January 15, 2022. Internet was cut off from the island, which made remote sensing a valuable tool for the assessment of damages. Through land cover classification, change vector analysis and log-ratio image differencing, damages caused by the tsunami were assessed remotely in this thesis. LÄS MER
4. Assessing the suitability of using Sentinel-1A SAR multi-temporal imagery to detect fallow periods between rice crops
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Fallow, understood as a period where no crop is cultivated during a growing season, is an important crop management practice. Fallow plays an important role in pest and disease management, and monitoring the presence and duration of fallow can have implications for understanding the extent and effectiveness of this agricultural practice. 5. Cytokine production in equine peripheral blood mononuclear cells induced by SvSXP, a Strongylus vulgaris excretory/secretory protein
Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Animal Breeding and GeneticsSammanfattning : The most pathogenic intestinal parasite in horses is Strongylus vulgaris (large bloodworm). When a horse becomes infected with S. vulgaris, the larva penetrates the intestinal wall and migrates through the horse's blood vessels. The parasite can cause serious injuries that can lead to severe colic and, in the worst case, death. LÄS MER
