  1. 1. Approximating Quasistationary Distributions Using Deep Learning

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Björn Wehlin; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Applied Mathematics; Deep Learning; Probability Theory; Stochastic Processes; Ito Diffusions; Quasistationary Distributions; Tillämpad matematik; djupinlärning; sannolikhetsteori; stokastiska processer; Ito-diffusioner; kvasistationära fördelningar;

    Sammanfattning : We study a class of It\={o} diffusion processes on domains with smooth boundary, at which the process is killed. Such a process, when conditioned on non-extinction, gives rise to a stationary state known as a \emph{quasistationary distribution} (QSD). LÄS MER

  2. 2. A comparison of binaural recordings performed in six different room configurations

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Teknisk akustik; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaper

    Författare :Denice Perkhed; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Binaural recordings; absorbtion coefficient; reverberation time; anechoic chamber; listening test; Psychoacoustics; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Children in Swedish preschools are exposed to high noise levels that can cause hearing damage or voice related problems among both teachers and students, this since they have to raise their voice in order to make themselves heard in a noisy environment. Because of this it is of interest to be able to predict the sound environment in preschools. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Segmentation, Analysis, and Modelling of Microstructure in Cortical Bone, based on X-ray Microtomography

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Författare :Elin Törnquist; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Cortical bone; Biomechanics; Segmentation; K-mean clustering; Microstructure; X-ray Microtomography; Mathematics and Statistics; Medicine and Health Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The microstructure in cortical bone greatly affect the toughness of the bone and the crack propagation during fracture. The two main structural features, Haversian canals and osteons, have been previously studied in order to increase the knowledge of the biomechanics of bone. LÄS MER
