  1. 1. Effects of Prolonged Electricity Supply Disruptions on Critical Entities

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Riskhantering (CI); Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Författare :André Hansson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :vital societal function; VSF; critical entity; CE; vital societal entity; VSE; critical infrastructure; CI; critical flow; prolonged outage; electricity supply disruption; preparedness; total defence; civil defence; civil preparedness; crisis preparedness; grey zone; critical entities resilience; CER; hybrid warfare; energy security; societal resilience; cascading effect; dependencies; interdependencies; long-term disruption; power outage; power disruption; consequences; outage; samhällsviktig verksamhet; kritisk infrastruktur; totalförsvar; beredskap; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : This study investigates Swedish critical entities (CEs) ability to maintain function during up to three months of electricity supply disruptions. It also examines possible improvement measures, and how contextual cases (grey zone, heightened state of alert, war) influence CEs’ ability to maintain function during electricity supply disruptions. 2. 2. Klimatsäkring av riksintressanta hamnar : en fallstudie om Helsingborgs hamn och dess framtid

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Dept. of Landscape Architecture, Planning and Management (from 130101)

    Författare :Alexander Larsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :klimatförändringar; klimatanpassningar; resiliens; hamn; Helsingborg;

    Sammanfattning : Sveriges näst största containerhamn, Helsingborgs hamn, hotas av höjda havsnivåer vilket kan leda till att verksamheten med containrar inte kan bedrivas redan år 2035. Detta innebär en stor risk för störningar i försörjningskedjor och kan få kaskadeffekter på samhället. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Resiliens inom dricksvattenområdet ur ett beredskaps- och beroendeperspektiv

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet; Lunds universitet/Riskhantering (CI)

    Författare :Jakob Jungestad; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Critical infrastructure; Resilience; Robustness; Redundancy; Drinking water; Drinking water infrastructure; Vulnerability; Preparedness; Civil defense; Dependencies; Risk; Network theory; Water distribution system; Sweden; Kritisk infrastruktur; Civil beredskap; Dricksvatten; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The drinking water infrastructure is among our most critical infrastructures and hence it is important for society to secure. Today, there is a lot of critical infrastructures that are dependent on different conditions to uphold its functionality. These critical infrastructures are often interdependent as well. LÄS MER

  4. 4. High tide flooding in near future projections for popular travel destinations

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :David Ebert; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography and Ecosystem analysis; High tide flooding; Projections; Adaptation and mitigation strategies; Lunar precession; Nodal cycle; Cycle of lunar perigee; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : High tide flooding (HTF) is becoming more common in coastal regions of the United States, although this phenomenon remains largely undocumented in published literature from other parts of the world. No matter the emissions scenario over the next decades, sea level rise (SLR) is projected to continue worldwide until at least the end of the 21st century, continually pushing the frequency and severity of HTF. 5. 5. Analysing space dependencies - Methods and factors for method development

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Riskhantering (CI); Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Författare :Theodor de Sousa; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Vital societal functions; critical infrastructure; interdependency; dependency analysis; space services; space infrastructure; GNSS; PNT; ICT; method development; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Vital societal functions and critical infrastructure rely to an increasing extent on services from space, such as navigation and positioning systems, timekeeping, and communications. However, understanding of space service dependencies is low among practitioners and society at large, with research on societal space dependency being limited as well. LÄS MER
