    Sammanfattning : The aim of this master thesis was to investigate which leachate treatment methods are the most suitable for Nyvång landfill, Åstorp, with respect to the character of the leachate, best available technique (BAT), the circumstances of the facility and the leachate receptor. Firstly, assessments were undertaken of the leachate characteristics and the receptor’s conditions; nitrogen and phosphorus levels are too high, so the treatment has to focus on these two issues.
