  1. 1. The influence of passive measures on the highly demanding room climate requirements of a museum building in terms of sustainability

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

    Författare :Jasmin Jost; [2021]
    Nyckelord :museum; museum climate; conservation requirements; climate risk assessment; indoor environment; thermal comfort; thermal mass; moisture buffering; hygroscopic materials; life cycle assessment LCA ; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In the exhibition space of a museum, a compromise between the requirements for the preservation of cultural goods and thermal comfort criteria for visitors has to be applied. Such a high level of control without allowing fluctuations in temperature and relative humidity poses a big challenge to the air conditioning systems to maintain these very specific hygrothermal conditions. 2. 2. Assessment of the environmental impacts, energy performance and economic aspects of various construction materials

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö

    Författare :Mohsen Bayat Pour; Mohammed Labib Elsayed; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Bio-based Materials; Fossil-based Materials; Building Performance Simulations; Energy analysis; Environmental impact categories; Life cycle assessment LCA ; Economic analysis; Life cycle costing LCC ; Global warming potential; Climate change; Future climate analysis; Timber structure; Concrete structure; Insulation; HVAC systems; Heating demand; Cooling demand; Energy use; Hygrothermal analysis; Moisture; Thermal envelope; Thermal comfort; Indoor environmental quality; Actual case studies; Iterative workflow; Weather files; Parametric study; Reliability; Single-point rate SPR .; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Increasing CO₂ emission is considered as the main reason for global warming in the world. One of the reasons for producing CO₂ is using of fossil-based materials in the construction projects. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Investigating the performance of hempcrete as an option for retrofitting masonry buildings

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för arkitektur och byggd miljö; Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Energi och byggnadsdesign

    Författare :Henry Lanham; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Hempcrete; lime-hemp Miljöbyggnad; moisture safety; future climate; energy use; mould risk.; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : One fifth of the energy consumed by buildings in Sweden is by those built before 1945, many of them constructed from solid masonry walls. Improving their heating energy consumption is a challenge we must face in light of human’s impact on climate change as well as increasing energy costs. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Moisture risks with CLT-panels subjected to outdoor climate during construction : focus on mould and wetting processes

    Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Byggteknik och design

    Författare :Johan Öberg; Erik Wiege; [2018]
    Nyckelord :moisture; CLT; massive wood; mould; WUFI; drying; construction; weather protection. best practice; fukt; KL-trä; massivt trä; mögel; WUFI; torkning; konstruktion; väderskydd; best practice;

    Sammanfattning : When going through relevant research, moisture safety guidelines and talking to builders, moisture experts and architects it is clear - and not surprising - that water and wood make no easy combination. The experiences from building with cross laminated timber (CLT) differ from building sites and there are good and bad examples building without weather protection. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Simulering av klimatstyrning i Härnevi kyrka : påverkan på fuktupplagringen i en medeltida stenvägg

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Uppsala universitet/Kulturvård

    Författare :Henric Thor; Håkansson Jesper; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Klimatstyrning; simulering; WUFI; mögelrisk; fuktinnehåll;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines how the moisture content of a stone wall from the 15th century varies with different types of climate control. The simulations in this report is based on measured data from sensors placed inside and outside Härnevi Church north of Enköping. LÄS MER
