  1. 1. M. vastus lateralis EMG amplitud vid bilateral maximal knäextension utifrån träningserfarenhet : En tvärsnittsstudie

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för hälsa, lärande och teknik

    Författare :Laban Karlsson; Hilding Herrlander; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Bilateral limb deficit; EMG; kraftmoment; m. vastus lateralis; styrketräning;

    Sammanfattning : Bakgrund: Det har tidigare undersökts hur muskelaktivering skiljer sig åt vid en unilateral (UL) och bilateral (BL) knäextension och observerats ett så kallat “Bilateral limb deficit” (BLD). Forskning saknas däremot kring hur BLD skiljer sig beroende på styrketräningserfarenhet. LÄS MER

  2. 2. The Acute Metabolic Response of Intermittent Hypoxic Resistance Exercise : A Cross-Over RCT

    Master-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för idrotts- och hälsovetenskap

    Författare :Jonas Falgin Hultgren; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Intermittent Resistaypoxic resistance exercise; lactate accumulation; cross-over RCT; RCT; Random Controlled Trial; healthy; men; blood; plasma; styrketräning; hypoxi; normoxi; saturation; laktat; ansamling; ph; blod; plasma; tung styrketräning; metabolisk; respons; randomiserad; kontrollerad; experiment; friska; unga; män; skelettmuskulatur;

    Sammanfattning : Aim The aim for this present study was to investigate the acute metabolic response from intermittent resistance exercise during hypoxia, with the following research questions: (1) Are blood levels of lactate and glucose different between hypoxia and normoxia? (2) Does hypoxia induce higher lactate accumulation and pH reduction in the human skeletal muscle? (3) Is there a relationship between plasma-, blood- and muscle lactate? Method Eight healthy males (30 ± 2 years) performed 6 sets of unilateral leg extension on each leg (75% of 1RM) with randomized normoxic (20,9% inspired 𝑂2) and normobaric hypoxic (12% inspired 𝑂2) conditions. A total of 5 muscle biopsies was extracted from m. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Physiological characteristics of sodium lactate infusion during resistance exercise

    Master-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för idrotts- och hälsovetenskap

    Författare :Sebastian Danielsson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :sodium lactate; sodium lactate infusion; infusion; resistance exercise; knee-extensor; vastus lateralis; metabolic effects; hematological effects; plasma lactate; muscle lactate; muscle content of lactate; MHC; fiber type; blood pH; muscle pH; blood lactate; blood sodium; blood potassium; blood glucose; hemoglobin; in vivo; randomized; cross-over;

    Sammanfattning : Previous studies that utilized sodium lactate infusion did not use resistance exercise protocol or analyzed muscle biopsies, or performed sex specific analysis. Aim: We initiated a project where resistance exercise was performed with low and high levels of lactate, acquired by venous lactate infusion where the specific aim of this study was to investigate and chart the physiological characteristics of sodium lactate infusion during a bout of resistance exercise on whole group level and sexes separated Method: A randomized, placebo controlled, cross-over design was implemented where male (n = 8) and female (n = 8) subjects accustomed to resistance exercise visited the laboratory three times for preliminary testing and training familiarization. 4. 4. Optimizing strength training for hypertrophy : A periodization of classic resistance training and blood-flow restriction training

    Kandidat-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för idrotts- och hälsovetenskap

    Författare :Daniel Cortobius; Niklas Westblad; [2016]
    Nyckelord :muscle; hypertrophy; resistance; training; blood flow restricted exercise; quadriceps; tränarlänkdiverse;

    Sammanfattning : Aim The main aim of this study was to investigate if a combination of classic resistance training and blood flow restricted resistance exercise (BFRE) training would result in greater increases in quadriceps muscle growth compared with other strength training studies. The second aim was to investigate if there would be any difference in muscle hypertrophy between men and women after the training intervention. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Relationship between knee joint angle and fine-wire EMG activity of the four quadriceps femoris muscles

    Magister-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för idrotts- och hälsovetenskap

    Författare :Gustaf Rönquist; [2015]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of the present study was to investigate the electromyography (EMG)-knee joint angle relationship and the differences in activity among the four quadriceps femoris (QF) muscles during maximal voluntary isometric knee extensions. Ten well-trained healthy male volunteers (mean ± 1 standard deviation (SD) age 33 ± 11 years, height 1. LÄS MER
