  1. 1. Sensitivity analysis of a generic urban flow model : 2D modelling with empirical hyetographs and CDS rain

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Julia Granlund; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Input parameters; initial water content; antecedent moisture content; impervious surfaces; topography; empirical hyetographs; design storms;

    Sammanfattning : Severe flooding events in recent years have underlined the importance of accurate hydrological modelling in urban areas. There are many important parameters relating to both the rainfall distribution and properties of the land on which the rain falls that controls the impacts of the rain event. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Fault Detection AI For Solar Panels

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Jonathan Kurén; Simon Leijon; Petter Sigfridsson; Hampus Widén; [2020]
    Nyckelord :machine learning; artificial intelligence; fault detection; photovoltaics; solar panels; solar energy; photovoltaic system;

    Sammanfattning : The increased usage of solar panels worldwide highlights the importance of being able to detect faults in systems that use these panels. In this project, the historical power output (kWh) from solar panels combined with meteorological data was used to train a machine learning model to predict the expected power output of a given solar panel system. 3. 3. Hydrological and chloride transport processes in a small catchment of the Norrström Basin : a MIKE SHE modelling approach

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Zhuhuan Liu; Chen Zhou; [2019]
    Nyckelord :MIKE SHE; Hydrological Modelling; Kringlan; Water Balance; Particle Tracking;

    Sammanfattning : Water is ubiquitous on our planet and constitutes a vital part of ecosystems. It supports the life of all beings on the earth while simultaneously evokes water-related issues such as water shortage, water contamination. As UN advocates, a globally shared blueprint for available clean water is depicted in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Ability of Regional Climate Models to Simulate Weather Conditions on Nordenskiöldbreen, Svalbard

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Malin Andersson; Erica Erikson; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Regional climate models; automatic weather station; glacier; Svalbard; Regionala klimatmodeller; automatisk väderstation; glaciär; Svalbard;

    Sammanfattning : In this project, we analyse the ability of two regional climate models to simulate meteorological conditions on Nordenskiöldbreen, a glacier in Svalbard. To do so, regional climate model output is compared with in situ measurements from an automatic weather station. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Analysis and comparison of weather models for solar irradiance forecasts in Sweden

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik

    Författare :Linus Falk; [2018]
    Nyckelord :meteorology; weather models; ensemble forecasts; solar irradiance; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Solar radiation is affected in a variety of different ways through the atmosphere and on its way down to the Earth’s surface. Clouds are the main factor in this attenuation of solar radiation, but aerosols, ozone and other different gases have a significant impact too. Understanding these processes is fundamental to solar forecasting. LÄS MER
