  1. 1. Wind Turbine Recovery Forecasting using Survival Analysis

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Anton Palets; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Survival analysis; Recovery Forecast; Wind Turbine; Availability Forecast; AFT model; Aalen s model; Cox regression; Cox Proportional Hazards; Variation Processes; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : The goal of this thesis is to present a methodology for predicting time until recovery of failed wind turbines. The necessity is motivated by the potential for more accurate wind energy export forecasts. The current approach rests entirely on having an expert examine the turbine and produce a time estimate. 2. 2. Uncertainty quantification for offshore wind turbines

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)

    Författare :Ziming Wang; [2022]
    Nyckelord :wind energy; uncertainty propagation; polynomial chaos; Rosenblatt transformation; quadrature; regression; vindenergi; osäkerhetsutbredning; polynomkaos; Rosenblatt transformation; kvadratur; regression;

    Sammanfattning : Wind energy is a field with a large number of uncertainties. The random nature of the weather conditions, including wind speed, wind direction, and turbulence intensity, influences the energy output and the structural safety of a wind farm, making its performance fluctuate and difficult to predict. 3. 3. Exploring improvements of wind power forecasts using Convolutional Neural Networks and Time Series Analysis

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Jakob Nabialek; [2022]
    Nyckelord :wind power forecasting; convolutional neural networks; kalman filter; electricity market; day-ahead market; Mathematics and Statistics;

    Sammanfattning : Due to environmental considerations, volumes of renewable power production are rapidly growing, and its share of the energy pool is increasing. The inter- mittent nature of wind power, being one of the main renewable energy sources, is a challenge when generating production forecasts. LÄS MER

  4. 4. CFD Based External Heat Transfer Coefficient Predictions on a Transonic Film-Cooled Gas Turbine Guide Vane : A Computational Fluid Dynamics Study on the Von Karman Institute LS94 Test Case

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningslära

    Författare :Rosalie Johnsson; Lilian Asiegbu; [2022]
    Nyckelord :gas turbine; turbine inlet guide vane; film-cool; film cool; Computational Fluid Dynamics; CFD; heat transfer coefficient; Shear Stress Transport k-ω; SST k-ω; Scale Resolving Hybrid; SRH; turbulence modelling;

    Sammanfattning : The turbine inlet guide vanes of a gas-turbine are subjected to extreme hot gas temperatures which increases the risk of mechanical failure and overall reduces the component lifespan. Hence, it is of great interest for gas-turbine manufacturers to establish methods for accurately estimating the temperature distribution along the vane surface. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Analysis of AEP prediction against production data of commercial wind turbines in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för företagande, innovation och hållbarhet

    Författare :Aromal Sugathan; Sean Gregory; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Energy assessment; validation; wind power; Sweden; P50; AEP; WCP;

    Sammanfattning : Based on data from 2083 wind turbines installed in Sweden since 1988, the annual energy production (AEP) predictions considered at the project planning phases of the wind turbines in Sweden have been compared to the wind-index-corrected production data. The production data and the predicted AEP data are taken from Vindstat, a database that collects information directly from wind turbine owners in Sweden. LÄS MER
