    Sammanfattning : Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka de arbetssätt yrkesverksamma socionomer i Sverige använder i behandlingen och stödet av suicidbenägna barn och unga samt vad de uppfattar är bakomliggande faktorer för att en ung människa överväger att ta sitt liv. För att uppnå syftet användes kvalitativ metod i form av individuella forskningsintervjuer med fyra olika socionomer som i sitt yrkesliv kommer i kontakt med barn och unga som har just suicidrelaterad problematik.
