    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the effects of gender representation in the swedish county councils with respect to investments in maternity and children healthcare. The econometrics tests provide ambiguous results regarding the relationship between the share of female council members and the amount of resources dedicated to maternity and children healthcare respectively.
