1. KOMMODIFIERING AV KROPPSAKTIVISMEN. En kvantitativ och etnografisk innehållsanalys av svenska kroppsaktivsters innehåll på Instagram
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för journalistik, medier och kommunikationSammanfattning : Throughout the history, women have been exposed to and affected by normative ideals concerning their appearance and body-size. As an opposition to this, certain political movements have evolved and grown, like body- and fat activism, to challenge the current destructive ideals. LÄS MER
2. In Defense of Consuming Animal Products : How Human Suffering Can Justify the Consumption of Animal Products in Developed Countries
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Filosofiska institutionenSammanfattning : Within the area of animal ethics, there has been ongoing discussion around whether people in developed countries are justified in consuming animal based products or not, some argue that we are, and some argue that we aren't. In this paper I present a kind of middle-way position in response to the ongoing discussion, in which I argue that a decent chunk of a population in developed countries are justified in consuming certain animal products, but only so far as the exclusion of these animal based products would cause harm to the boycotter. 3. Shifting focus from yields to food supply : an evaluation of the ‘number of people fed per hectare’ indicator at farm and national level
Master-uppsats, SLU/Department of Molecular SciencesSammanfattning : The challenge of feeding a growing global population while reducing the pressure on climate and ecosystems has gained much attention in research over the last decades. A crucial yet often overlooked aspect in research addressing this complex challenge is the efficiency of food production in meeting nutritional needs within the constraints of global cropland resources. 4. Waste or Want: Does processing have an effect on the desirability of upcycled food products? : a Swedish consumer acceptance study
Master-uppsats, SLU/Department of Molecular SciencesSammanfattning : Food waste presents a significant obstacle to the food system’s transition to sustainability. With an ability to mitigate industrial food waste and its effects, the concept of upcycled food aims to safely adapt elements from the waste streams for human consumption by transforming them into ingredients to be used in novel ‘upcycled’ food products. 5. Quantifying liquid food waste : levels of liquid coffee waste, its causes and barriers and drivers for quantification in the Swedish food service sector
Master-uppsats, SLU/Department of Molecular SciencesSammanfattning : Food waste is a waste of resources required throughout the entire supply chain, leading to environmental impacts that could have been avoided. Coffee has a relatively high environmental impact partially due to the high consumption. To identify levels and sources of food waste, and consequently prevent it, quantification is used. LÄS MER
