26. How can Inflow & Infiltration be effectively and sustainably managed? : MCA as a tool for decision support in planning Inflow & Infiltration
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Inflow and infiltration (I/I) water in the sewer network originates from groundwater, precipitation, seawater as well as over-leakage from drinking water pipes. It is the proportion of water in the sewer system that is not wastewater and causes problems both at the treatment plant as well as in the sewer network. LÄS MER
27. Assessment of Groundwater Flow to Lake Bolmen
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI); Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologiSammanfattning : This work reports the research and findings concerning the processes of groundwater flow and distribution to lake Bolmen in the Småland region, Sweden. The watershed of Bolmen is of high interest since it provides water for drinking and energy purposes, representing a resource of notable importance for the society of southern Sweden. LÄS MER
29. Hantering av vattenbrist av utvalda kommuner i Kalmar län.
Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för biologi och miljö (BOM)Sammanfattning : Climate change with a warmer climate will place higher demands on the management of drinking water by both municipalities and the population. Municipalities are forced to adapt through both technical and physical measures to cope with water supply. In Sweden, both surface and groundwater are used as drinking water. LÄS MER
30. Exploring Spatiotemporal Relationships between InSAR-derived Land Subsidence and Satellite-based Hydrological Variables
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskapSammanfattning : Shabestar basin in the East Azerbaijan province, Northwest Iran, where irrigation is the main groundwater consumer, has experienced large-scale subsidence and groundwater deletion, which poses a threat to the local agricultural activities, economic development, and food security. With the emergency of mitigating the risk, satisfying future demand for groundwater, and improving resilience considering climate change, this study proposes a satellite-based approach to explore the spatio-temporal relationships between measured subsidence and hydrological variables in the basin to assist groundwater management strategy.
