  1. 21. High resolution modelling and analysis of urban flooding

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Angelos Kosmas; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Tokyo Storm Runoff model; TSR; urban flooding; Augustenborg; stormwater management; pipe networks; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The predictions on climate change and precipitation patterns in the near future, as well as urbanization, lead to higher volumes of runoff, which in turn challenge the sustainability and functionality of urban drainage pipe networks. In order to understand how these changes will affect the existing infrastructure in urban areas, integrated urban water model software are needed to identify effective solutions to minimize urban flooding. 2. 22. The influence of temporal rainfall distribution and storm movement on flood depth in urban pluvial cloud burst modeling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Michael Henrich; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Pluvial flooding; cloud burst; flood modeling; MIKE 21; temporal distribution; storm movement; areal reduction factors; ARFs; hyetograph; design storm; CDS; Pluviala översvämningar; skyfall; översvämningsmodellering; MIKE 21; regnmönstrets tidsfördelning; molnrörelse; areal reduktion av nederbörd; ARFs; hyetograph; typregn; CDS;

    Sammanfattning : Pluvial floods are the most difficult and to date least investigated phenomena in urban hydrology. While efforts are being made to increase the knowledge base concerning this type of flooding, a large part of the difficulty lies in the nature of the precipitation. LÄS MER

  3. 23. The influence of storm movement and temporal variability of rainfall on urban pluvial flooding : 1D-2D modelling with empirical hyetographs and CDS-rain

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Luft-, vatten- och landskapslära

    Författare :Jimmy Olsson; [2019]
    Nyckelord :pluvial flooding; flood modelling; 1D-2D modelling; MIKE FLOOD; MIKE 21; MIKE URBAN; storm movement; temporal variability; hyetograph; design storm; Chicago Design Storm; CDS-rain; pluviala översvämningar; översvämningsmodellering; 1D-2D modellering; MIKE FLOOD; MIKE 21; MIKE URBAN; molnrörelse; hyetograf; typregn; Chicago Design Storm; CDS-regn;

    Sammanfattning : Pluvial floods are formed directly from surface runoff after extreme rain events. Urban areas are prone to suffer from these floods due to large portions of hardened surfaces and limited capacity in the stormwater infrastructure. Previous research has shown that catchment response is influenced by the spatio-temporal behaviour of the rainstorm. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Differences in consequences between peak arrivals and movement directions of an extreme rainfall in flood modeling

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållbar utveckling, miljövetenskap och teknik

    Författare :Samuel Hermelin; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Uniform rain; CDS-rain; rain types; movement; peak arrivals; modelling; flooding; MIKE 21; climate change;

    Sammanfattning : To avoid damages and costs for the society due to flooding is it important to be able to model accurate rain scenarios. Due to climate change is it thought that there will be more heavy rainfalls in the future which will increase the risk for flooding. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Planning support for reducing risks related to flooding : A case study of flood response in Kista residential area and Igelbäcken stream, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Mark- och vattenteknik

    Författare :Kajsa Lundgren; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Planning support; blue green solutions; hydrodynamic modelling; MIKE FLOOD; climate change adaption; land use change; Planeringsstöd; blå-gröna lösningar; hydrodynamiskmodellering; MIKE FLOOD; klimatanpassning; markanvändning;

    Sammanfattning : Flooding has been identified as the most widespread and most frequently occurring natural disaster by the United Nation. Sweden is no exception when it comes to being affected by flooding, and several major flood events have been seen in recent years. LÄS MER
