  1. 1. Test Equipment for the LUCAS Chest Compression System: Incorporating Biomechanical Insights for Future Design Enhancements

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Biomedicinsk teknik

    Författare :Ester Pörtfors; Malin Svärdling; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Mechanical CPR; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation; LUCAS Chest Compression System; Test Equipment; Chest Biomechanics; Chest Stiffness; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The LUCAS Chest Compression System is a market leading mechanical cardiopulmonary resuscitation device, assisting medical professionals worldwide when treating patients with sudden cardiac arrest. The objective of this master thesis project was to develop a new, adjustable test equipment for the LUCAS device, allowing for tests on varying chest heights and stiffness levels. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Risk som skada : En diskussion om ersättning av förhöjda risker i svensk skadeståndsrätt

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Stockholms universitet/Juridiska institutionen

    Författare :Carolina Hannerstål; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Skadeståndsrätt; risk; förhöjd risk; riskskada; PFAS; Loss of chance; skadeståndsersättning; lagstiftning; skadeståndsberäkning; personskada;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis critically examines recent developments in Swedish tort law, regarding compensability of an elevated risk of future harm as a distinct injury in itself. The theme of the study is based upon a recent ruling by the Swedish Supreme Court on December 5, 2023, marking the first instance of Swedish legal scrutiny on the concept of elevated risks as compensable injuries. 3. 3. Incorporation of climate effects in marine spatial planning. Possible Climate Refugia on the Swedish West Coast Based on Two Climate Scenarios

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för marina vetenskaper

    Författare :Eric Strömberg; [2023-08-11]
    Nyckelord :Climate Refugia; Climate Change; Representative Concentration Patterns; Marine Spatial Planning; Geographical Information Systems; Temperature; Salinity; Marine Management; Swedish West Coast;

    Sammanfattning : Climate change poses a significant threat to the survival and distribution of marine species and habitats. Identification and conservation of climate refugia have emerged as a strategy to safeguard vulnerable habitats and promote species resilience. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Exploring New Physics Through Collider and Gravitational Wave Measurements with Artificial Neural Networks: the Case Study of QCD-like Technicolor

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Teoretisk partikelfysik - Geonomgår omorganisation

    Författare :Ashar Ahmed Kamal; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Artificial Neural Networks; ANN; Beyond the Standard Model; BSM; parameter space scan; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : With physicists actively exploring Beyond the Standard Model (BSM) theories that may fill in the gaps of the Standard Model (SM), a fundamental question arises: which parameters hold physical significance? In this thesis, we present our initial progress towards the development of a model-independent artificial intelligence framework designed for conducting parameter space scans in BSM scenarios. Our framework incorporates several publicly available high-energy physics packages, namely SPheno, HiggsBounds, HiggsSignals, and CosmoTransitions. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Potentialen för power-to-X från offshorevindkraft till vätgas kombinerat med stödtjänster : En studie om hur offshorevindkraften kan användas för produktion av fossilfri vätgas och samtidigt bidra till att stabilisera elnätet

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Elektricitetslära

    Författare :Matilda Blomander; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Sektorkoppling;

    Sammanfattning : A society with interconnected energy sectors may be a contributing factor to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, while simultaneously meeting the increasing demand for electric energy. This study investigates the possibilities to link a sea-based wind farm with hydrogen gas production in addition to serving as a support function to a transmission systems operator. LÄS MER
