    Sammanfattning : Fifty percent of the world’s population live in cities today, but predictions of the sustained urbanization trend estimates that this number will increase to seventy percent by 2050.     Sammanfattning : Målet och syftet med denna studie är att observera, tolka, och vidareutveckla förståelsen för den samtida turistens interagerande med, och omförhandlande av, det historiska rummet genom individualistisk påverkan från fiktiva narrativ – i detta fallet, Outlanders transmediala berättelsevärld. Genom ett teoretiskt ramverk uppbyggt på materialism, påverkan, tidsresande och proteser har jag analyserat och kartlagt både kulturarvsplatserna samt Outlander-fansens interaktion med dessa genom att ha deltagit själv i två guidade endagarsturer, samt genom en djupgående, om än liten, enkät. For the outside world, Chile is a thriving democracy that got out of Pinochet’s iron grip, but for many Chileans, the transition to democracy has excluded demands for justice and a real influence.     Sammanfattning : This thesis is a genealogy of the gendered othering practices that emerged through and within the implementation of eugenic policies in the Scandinavian welfare states, namely Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. Between the early 1930s and 1970s, tens of thousands of people were sterilized and institutionalized in Scandinavia for various purposes, and a vast majority of these people were “feebleminded,” “immoral,” “vagrant,” “antisocial” or “weak” women whose fertility constituted a threat to the quality of the “national stock.
