1. Pricing and Modeling Heavy Tailed Reinsurance Treaties - A Pricing Application to Risk XL Contracts
Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : To estimate the risk of a loss occurring for insurance takers is a difficult task in the insurance industry. It is an even more difficult task to price the risk for reinsurance companies which insures the primary insurers. LÄS MER
3. Effect of infill density on mechanical and fire properties of polylactic acid composites produced by FDM 3D-printing technology
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på grundnivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : 3D-printing is a new and upcoming manufacturing technique that can significantly reduce time and material losses in production. Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is one of the most commonly used 3D-printing methods for processing conventional thermoplastic polymers. LÄS MER
4. Standardiserad kvalitetssäkring av brandskydd i BIM
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : Digitized workflows are becoming more common in the construction industry where building information modeling, also called BIM, is a common example of this development. The BIM environment enables an unbroken chain of information on a corporate platform. LÄS MER
5. Visibility in Smoke With Different Extinction Coefficients
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för BrandteknikSammanfattning : Visibility in smoke has since the 1970s gained some attention, mostly after Tadahisa Jin ran the experiments which helped him develop todays widely used visibility equation. By showing that visibility can be assumed to be inversely proportional to the extinction coefficient by a visibility constant (equal to 8 for light emitting sign and 3 for light reflecting), Jin opened up new doors for researchers who were testing out his theory by going around experimenting in different ways and also by showing that there is way for more research to be done.
