1. Prototyping and Evaluation of a Lightweight Simulator Concept Combining Physical and Digital Assets
Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : Serious injuries often occur in high-risk environments such as warfare, urban combat, and traffic accidents. The medical proficiency of soldiers and first responders in these situations is paramount. LÄS MER
3. Access Point Selection and Clustering Methods with Minimal Switching for Green Cell-Free Massive MIMO Networks
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : As a novel beyond fifth-generation (5G) concept, cell-free massive MIMO (multiple-input multiple-output) recently has become a promising physical-layer technology where an enormous number of distributed access points (APs), coordinated by a central processing unit (CPU), cooperate to coherently serve a large number of user equipments (UEs) in the same time/frequency resource. However, denser AP deployment in cell-free networks as well as an exponentially growing number of mobile UEs lead to higher power consumption. LÄS MER
4. Towards Vision Zero using Virtual Reality
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologiSammanfattning : The number of individuals killed in road accidents around the world is rising. The problem of road safety is a big societal concern. Drivers have a challenge while overtaking vulnerable road users since it necessitates a well-timed, safe interaction between the vehicle, the road user, and approaching traffic. LÄS MER
5. Analysis and Simulation Study of Stochastic Time-To-Collision as a Severity Measure in Traffic Security
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : Traffic accidents are extremely rare, creating the need for surrogate methods for safety analysis that makes efficient use of the information provided by traffic conflicts, which also are limited in availability. The severity measure time-to-collision (TTC) in combination with extreme value theory have so far been one of the primary measures used to infer traffic safety levels, but it relies on unrealistic assumptions that results in severity measures that do not always agree well with observed danger.
