Sammanfattning: This is a qualitative study that discusses subject integration and how that can be practiced by teachers in Music and English. It also gives an insight in how teachers work with the central content in Music, specifically focusing on the part called The context and function of Music. Four teachers with Music and English as their subjects have been interviewed. I have also done literary studies to get a deeper knowledge about subject integration and The context and function of Music. The result shows that there is a small tendency that The context and function of Music is not prioritized in the Music education. Since music and language has a lot in common, there are reasons to integrate this part of Music education with the teaching in English. Subject integration takes time to develop, but it has lots of benefits and can save time in the long run.
