  1. 1. Potential Silvoarable Agroforestry Regions for Corylus avellana and Juglans regia in Scania, Sweden

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Isabella Svensson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Silvoarable agroforestry; Corylus avellana; Juglans regia; Suitability assessment; Scania; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Conventional agriculture in Sweden is facing challenges with low resilience to a changing climate and decreased biodiversity. Silvoarable agroforestry is an alternative land use practice that contain a woody perennial and crop in the same field. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Statistical Evaluation and Modelling of Landslide Initiation Points in Western Norway

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Väg- och vattenbyggnad (CI); Lunds universitet/Teknisk geologi

    Författare :Tim Starke; [2020]
    Nyckelord :landslide; landslide modelling; debris flow; Norway; fuzzy logic; GIS; susceptibility; hazard; geohazard; natural disaster; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Norge drabbas årligen av hundratals jordskred vilket leder till betydande ekonomisk skada och fara för liv. Därför bedriver norska myndigheter och forskningsinstitutioner omfattande forskning om jordskred och vidtar åtgärder för att övervaka, modellera och slutligen mildra konsekvenserna av och förebygga dessa. 3. 3. Data driven fuzzy suitability modelling as a method for assessing habitat choice of migratory Red Kites (Milvus, milvus) across Spain

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :John-William Monks; [2019]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography and Ecosystems analysis; Fuzzy suitability; GIS; Red Kite; Suitability modelling; Conservation; Habitat choice; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : As an increasing number of species drift onto the IUCN’s list of endangered species, it has become increasingly important to understand the fundamental aspects that are essential in maintaining the fitness of these threatened species. Using tracking data from 75% of a sample of Swiss juvenile Red Kites during their wintering period in Spain, various bioclimatic predictors (BCMPs) were taken into account to create fuzzy membership functions based on the spatial distribution of the related biogeographic elements within the operating range of the sample set of kites. 4. 4. Quantitative model of present and future well-being in the EU-28 : a spatial multi-criteria evaluation of socioeconomic and climatic comfort factors

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Joakim Jörwall; [2017]
    Nyckelord :GIS; well-being; multi-criteria evaluation; EU-28; physical geography and ecosystem analysis; UTCI; Tourism Climatic Index; Predicted Mean Vote; Analytic Hierarchy Process; Fuzzy membership; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Both within the EU and within other regions/countries, there is a need to measure and monitor the well-being/Quality of Life (QoL) of people, in order to identify, anticipate, and address potential social or economic problems, at national and regional levels. This study presents a model to quantitatively estimate the spatial well-being (QoL) distribution across the EU-28 member states down to the municipal level, using tools offered by GIS. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Similarity of Hybrid Object Representations With Applications in Object Recognition and Classification

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Johan Öfverstedt; [2017]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Similarity measures between images that are robust to noise and other kinds ofdistortion, while sensitive to transformations in a smooth and stable way, are of great importance in many image analysis problems. In this thesis a family of measures basedon fuzzy set theory which combine shape and intensity, is extended to vector-valued fuzzy sets for hybrid object representations such as intensity and gradient magnitudeas well as multi-spectral images such as color images.
