  1. 1. Equivalent Models for Hydropower Operation in Sweden

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Pandu Nugroho Prianto; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Equivalent model; Hydropower; Hydropower production; Particle Swarm Optimisation; Ekvivalenta modellen; Vattenkraft; vattenkraftens operation; Particle Swarm Optimisation;

    Sammanfattning : Hydropower systems often contain complex river systems which cause the simulations and analyses of a hydropower operation to be computationally heavy. The complex river system is referred to as something called a Detailed model. By creating a simpler model, denoted the Equivalent model, the computational issue could be circumvented. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Task Scheduling Using Discrete Particle Swarm Optimisation

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Hampus Karlberg; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Scheduling; Discrete Particle Swarm Optimisation; Wireless Networks; Meta Heuristic; Machine Learning; Schemaläggning; diskret Particle Swarm Optimisation; Trådlösa Nätverk; Metaheurestik; Maskininlärning;

    Sammanfattning : Optimising task allocation in networked systems helps in utilising available resources. When working with unstable and heterogeneous networks, task scheduling can be used to optimise task completion time, energy efficiency and system reliability. The dynamic nature of networks also means that the optimal schedule is subject to change over time. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Automatic Procedure for Determining Control Parameters for Ship-to-Shore Cranes

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för reglerteknik

    Författare :Hampus Hellström; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : The objective of this thesis has been to create a tuning functionality that can determine the control parameters for a crane that loads and unloads containers from ships. To accomplish this a model of the crane has been developed in MapleSIM and exported into MATLAB’s Simulink. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Multi-objective optimisation algorithms for GIS-based multi-criteria decision analysis : an application for evacuation planning

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Jose Ignacio Diaz Gonzalez; [2016]
    Nyckelord :decision-making; decision analysis; optimisation algorithm; multi-objective; multi-criteria; GIS; geography; physical geography; SPSO; NSGA-II; AMOSA; MOGWO; GEM; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Geographic Information Systems (GIS) have acquired greater relevance as tools to support decision-making processes, and during the last decades they have been used in conjunction with Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis techniques (GIS-MCDA) to solve real-world spatial problems. GIS-MCDA can be generally divided in Multi-Attribute and Multi-Objective techniques. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Development of a pitch based wake optimisation control strategy to improve total farm power production

    Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Jun Liang Tan; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Wake reduction; Jensen Wake Model; Particle Swarm Optimisation; Wind turbine Control Algorithm; Deterministic Wake Modelling; Heuristic Optimisation model;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis, the effect of pitch based optimisation was explored for a 80 turbine wind farm. Using a modified Jensen wake model and the Particle Swarm Optimisation (PSO) model, a pitch optimisation strategy was created for the dominant turbulence and atmospheric condition for the wind farm.
