Tidigare studier har visat att den dubbla kompetensen kan vara ett hjälpmedel i både skolan och fritidshemmet, men det kan också innebära svårigheter eftersom många lärare i fritidshem under skoldagen arbetar som resurs i klass i stället för att undervisa i sitt praktisk-estetiska ämne.
