1. Evaluation of the Impact of X-ray Tube Voltage and Filter Thickness on the Performance of Spectral Photon-Counting Detectors
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Medicinteknik och hälsosystemSammanfattning : During the past years photon-counting detectors (PCDs) have emerged as an alternative to conventional energy-integrating detectors and may significantly improve the standard of care for computed tomography (CT). There are two main alternatives for the material of the detector: cadmium telluride (CdTe) and silicon (Si). LÄS MER
2. Quality Assurance of Intra-oral X-ray Images
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/RadiofysikSammanfattning : Dental radiography is one of the most frequent types of diagnostic radiological investigations performed. The equipment and techniques used are constantly evolving. LÄS MER
3. Micro-CT for small animal imaging : Optimization of the tube voltage for low-contrast imaging
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknik och hälsa (STH)Sammanfattning : This master thesis evaluated the optimal tube voltage for low-contrast imaging of a micro-CT system (intended for small animal imaging) built at the School of Technology and Health (STH) of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). The main goal of this work was to calibrate the above-mentioned device (composed moreover by a Hamamatsu microfocus L10951-01 X-ray tube, a CMOS flat panel Hamamatsu C7942CA-22 and using a Cone-Beam CT reconstruction algorithm) for obtaining the best imaging of low-contrast structures. 4. Optimization of Dual Energy data acquisition using CdTe-detectors with electronic spectrum splitting
Master-uppsats, Tekniska högskolan; Biomedicinsk instrumentteknikSammanfattning : Dual energy imaging has made it possible to enhance contrast in medical images using images containing different energy information, by combining low and high energy images. Dual energy data can either be acquired using double exposures or splitting the energy spectrum into two images using one exposure. LÄS MER
5. Finding 3D Teeth Positions by Using 2D Uncalibrated Dental X-ray Images
Master-uppsats, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Sektionen för ingenjörsvetenskapSammanfattning : In Dental Radiology very often several radiographs (uncalibrated in position) are taken from the same person. The radiographs do not provide the depth details, and there is often requirement of three dimensional (3D) data to achieve better diagnosis by radiologist. LÄS MER
