  1. 1. Measuring the Utility of Synthetic Data : An Empirical Evaluation of Population Fidelity Measures as Indicators of Synthetic Data Utility in Classification Tasks

    Master-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för matematik och datavetenskap (from 2013)

    Författare :Alexander Florean; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Synthetic Data; Machine Learning; Population Fidelity Measures; Utility Metrics; Synthetic Data Quality Evaluation; Classification Algorithms; Utility Estimation; Data Privacy; Artificial Intelligence; Experiment Framework; Model Performance Assessment; Syntetisk Data; Maskininlärning; Population Fidelity Mätvärden; Användbarhetsmätvärden; Kvalitetsutvärdering av Syntetisk Data; Klassificeringsalgoritmer; Användbarhetsutvärdering; Dataintegritet; Artificiell Intelligens; AI; Experiment Ramverk; Utvärdering av Modellprestanda;

    Sammanfattning : In the era of data-driven decision-making and innovation, synthetic data serves as a promising tool that bridges the need for vast datasets in machine learning (ML) and the imperative necessity of data privacy. By simulating real-world data while preserving privacy, synthetic data generators have become more prevalent instruments in AI and ML development. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Evaluating Connectivity for RabbitMQ stream clients in front of Load Balancers

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Hanna Littorin; [2024]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Message brokers play a crucial role in decoupling senders and receivers within distributed systems. In some scenarios, it is necessary to distribute a message broker across multiple nodes to form a cluster. To ensure even and fair distribution of client requests across nodes, load balancers are commonly employed in front of the cluster. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Outdoor Education and Teachers’ Subjective Well-Being : A correlational study on the well-being of Dutch primary school teachers and the use of outdoor education

    Magister-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för beteendevetenskap och lärande

    Författare :Anouk Meijer; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Outdoor education; subjective well-being; Dutch teachers; primary school;

    Sammanfattning : The present study among Dutch primary school teachers investigated the difference in teachers' subjective well-being (SWB) between teachers that used outdoor education (OE) and their peers. The influence of the duration and frequency of outdoor lessons has also been explored. A similar study showed that outdoor educators had a higher SWB. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Exploring Advanced Clustering Techniques for Business Descriptions : A Comparative Study and Analysis of DBSCAN, K-Means, and Hierarchical Clustering

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Mittuniversitetet/Institutionen för data- och elektroteknik (2023-)

    Författare :Wisam Orabi Alkhen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Machine learning; Business descriptions; Search scope reduction; Relevant business terminology; Data analysis.;

    Sammanfattning : In this study, we introduce several approaches to analyze large volumes of business descriptions by applying machine learning clustering and classification algorithms. The goal is to efficiently classify these descriptions, reducing the search scope and allowing for better business insights and decision-making processes. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Federated Machine Learning for Resource Allocation in Multi-domain Fog Ecosystems

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för informationsteknologi

    Författare :Weilin Zhang; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Workload Allocation; Federated Learning; Deep Q-network; Fog networks; Federated Average Aggregation;

    Sammanfattning : The proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT) has increasingly demanded intimacy between cloud services and end-users. This has incentivised extending cloud resources to the edge in what is deemed fog computing. The latter is manifesting as an ecosystem of connected clouds, geo-dispersed and of diverse capacities.
