1. Classification of hyperkinesia in Parkinson patients using mobile sensors
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : In this thesis, we explore the possibility to monitoring hyperkinesia in people who suffer from Parkinson's disease (PD) using sensors in mobile phones. This is done by first collecting data from 25 patients diagnosed with PD by using a sensor-recording smartphone in a bag attached to the stomach, and at the same time let trained professionals make assessments of the degree of which they show signs of hyperkinesia, on the clinical dyskinesia rating scale, CDRS. 2.
3. Feature Extraction and Classification of Medication-Induced Hyperkinesia During Treatment of Parkinson's Disease
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : The recent progress in wearable sensor technology, signal processing and machine learning enables novel applications in fields such as automatic disease symptom tracking and classification. In this project, data from an ongoing Parkinson’s disease study at the Lund University Hospital is gathered and analyzed, and classification models of varying complexity for symptom severity are evaluated. 4. HIGH-FREQUENCY OSCILLATIONS IN A MOUSE MODEL OF PARKINSON’S DISEASE
Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för psykologiSammanfattning : Dopamine replacement therapy is the main method of treating Parkinson’s Disease (PD), however over time this treatment causes increasingly abnormal, involuntary movements. This symptom, known as Levodopa-Induced-Dyskinesia (LID) is associated with aberrant, high frequency oscillations (HFOs) in the motor cortex and basal ganglia, as demonstrated with implanted electrodes in human Parkinson’s patients as well as in a rat model of Parkinson’s Disease. 5. Assessment of Parkinson gait through digital signal processing and machine learning
Master-uppsats, Högskolan Dalarna/MikrodataanalysSammanfattning : It would be of both patients’ as well as clinicians’ interest, if diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease (PD) as well as following check-up methods were perfectly sensitive, accurate, reproducible and feasible of objectively classifying motor symptoms of PD. This is an arduous task due to the possible subjectivity of clinical evaluations. LÄS MER
